General firmware updating question relating to older Hubs.

I've often wondered whether unused examples of older models (and so hubs that are running their original firmware) would ever be updated should they be brought into service.

Is there any info on this anywhere?

Specifically would an unused Hub 6 (or Hub 5) update if brought into service now?

Updating this thread to say that having tried an unused HH6 the firmware for me did update... apparently twice, first to version SG4B1000B540 and GUI 1.64.0 which must have occurred within seconds of the initial connection and then some hours later to SG4B1000E01E and 1.105.0
