Which of those Humax products that include a HDD does it not apply to?

Thanks @zulu17

That would indeed indicate the skip functions are utilised in the best way possible by Youview taking that info into account. Personally I find skip forward 1min and back 15secs ideal for my usage.

You haven't lived until you have tried the 240 second jump forward and 30 second back on other Humax boxes. Smiley Surprised

Re: Get ready for your brand-new BT TV experience

Update: BT SOFTWARE UPDATE 28.26.0

Hi Guys,

See we have yet another update on our BT/YOUVIEW box, came through last night. Reading the update info theres does not seem to have the hide option added still, so I think that just proves a point that BT/YOUVIEW don't take any notice in what their customers are saying on the two Community forums. However I did speak to a YOUVIEW guy and he explained that the HIDE option was taken out due to not having it coded into the UI. Heres what the lates update has given us.

Improvements to MyTV programme navigation
You can now easily navigate back to your episodes in a series when you have finished watching a programme. When selecting a series in MyTV and playing an episode, pressing the 'Back' button on the remote control will now return you to the episode selection screen.

Re: Get ready for your brand-new BT TV experience

@Timm150Why would you say they are not listening...

The series navigation was one of the most requested improvements and has been out for a little while now (only just started rolling to BT boxes).
The hide channels is another popular request so watch this space shortly for that one. It has been promised to be returned shortly.

People complain about something that gets fixed then they move onto the next thing and say no-one is listening. they have to fix things in a sequential order, if they were a 5 minute fix they would have been done before the release. Unfortunately a complete re-write of code takes time to fix, the fixes are coming at lightening speed compared to YouView of old.

Re: Get ready for your brand-new BT TV experience

28.26.0 has been rolling out for a while now but isn't marked as 'complete' yet so obviously still some customers to get updated yet.

The 'hide' channels option SHOULD be here in the next update according to a friend at Youview. Clearly there is work going on somewhere to get this re-introduced to our boxes. One would assume that as this has been a complete software overwrite (Old Gen to Next Gen) it will need some behind the scenes testing to get it working correctly.

One thing I should add is to keep an eye on the main Youview Community forum pages to keep up to speed. The retail boxes always get their updates long before the BT boxes but at least the info gleaned over there always gives an indication what to expect next. The release notes for any retail box updates should always correlate with what we will eventually get once they are all updated. The timings and content of any updates are primarily down to what BT want to include, and when.

First, "all" surely includes discontinued and second, it is only "discontinued" in production not in use.

If that 28.60 is the extent of their response to all the feeback then I've never been so disappointed since the last time England played in the World Cup
