Getting Fed up of this now....

BT Infinity was installed 3rd May, engineer did a line test 48mbs down, 20mbs up - happy days, peaked for me around 32mbs and had been slowing down gradually ever since, bottomed out at around 8 or 9mbs down, the same on wifi or wired.

 

Logged with BT Customer Support who were very helpful  :smileyfrustrated: and they eventually referred me on to BT Wholesale, who then passed it to the engineers, who I never heard from or saw sight of, I then got a call back from BT Customer Support saying the problem had been resolved.

 

Tested on Wifi - 17mbs down 6mbs up - happy days

Tested on Wired - the same!!!

 

Don't get me wrong, it is far faster than anything I experienced with Sky but it's not doing what it says on the tin and is becoming increasingly annoying!!

 

Latest speedtest from the BT Speedtester is below, does anyone have any idea why my speed is less than a third of what was promised and what I'm paying for?

 

My IP Profile seems to change each time I run the test!

Rarely, I reboot the Hub when it gets really slow and occasionally switch off the Openreach modem as that was what the BT Customer Service team told me to do

I think I'd be contacting the mods - it looks as though you may need a boost engineer to call round.

They are a UK based BT specialist team who have a good record at getting problems solved

Just had an engineer visit, the line was being capped by BT at 16mbs Smiley Surprised

 

Cap released and now getting 42mbs down and 15mbs up!! Smiley Very Happy

 

Thanks very much to Stephanie (Mod) for getting an engineer out so promptly

Was told when it was installed that I should get 48mbs down and 20mbs up so it's close enough!

 

Off on holdiay today, hopefully things will be the same when I get back
