Going to give up shortly..rang this morning from a MOD who said they would contact me later today by email or on my mobile again and also the Manager from the Indian Call centre also due to give me an update on this but still nothing. Guess OFCOM is now the only choice.

Another update. Rang the call centre as I was fed up waiting on the phone call. Was told that the manager had gone home for the day. Again asked to speak with senior manager again refused as they dont take phone calls. Spoke with a complaints Manager who more or less did the same as every other one has done. Last evening the "manager" said he upped this to the highest level and would be looked at in 6-10 hours. Tonight was told it takes 24-48 hours to look into this and it should be resolved by Thursday. Sorry I rang yesterday too does 48 hours not mean by Wednesday guess not. Again everyone just tells you anything to keep you happy and stalling for another few days. Guess maybe by 2012 I might have my connection again. STILL PAYING for this!!!!!!!

Furious, Cecil.

Hi Cecilmcroberts,

Thank you for taking my call this morning. I am sorry that you did not receive the call back as promised yesterday. I have escalated the fault with BT Wholesale and I am just waiting for an update from them. This should happen at some stage today. I will give you a call later on today, to update you on any progress.

Thanks

Paddy,

Hi Paddy, many thanks for all your phone calls and help during this issue. As BT can't say an exact date as to when my exchanges equipment will be updated to releive the congestion which caused my dire throughput. I've taken the advice of switiching my broadband provider to a LLU. There is no point hanging onto the dire connection until this is fixed as BT wish me to continue paying for a service which I am and cannot receive. Shortly all my phone, broadband and Television services will be switched in the next 10 days. Could someone please give me the advice as to which department or options to press to speak with someone who can refund me my money for the service which has not been provided to myself. I tried earlrer but got through to India and was bounced around several departments.

Sorry to say BT but you've lost a very long term customer here, Cecil.

Re: Getting fed up after almost 3 months of issues then speed issues

It's Thursday 🙂

Solution....new ISP up and running today...even though when I requested my MAC code was asked what speed did they say you could get "17.5mbs"......well thats not right because you could only get 6.1 as what we provide you with....errr I dont think so!!! try 26kbps...anyhow switched today...ran speed test straight after connecting my router....and guess what 16.8mb.

Solution...Left BT went with a LLU with a UK support call centre.....now marks this as accpeted solution.

One Comment....Thank the MODS here on the forums for trying there best.

Best wishes.
