Re: Getting help with packages

if you entered your phone number using link and posted results the we could see what your line is capable off and that way give an idea of suitable package

check here for hub version and then follow instructions for stats

Re: Getting help with packages

To get the stats I would have to unlock the modem and reconfigure the whole thing.  Can you just tell me the difference between BT Halo and BT fibre 2.  The halo is much more expensive but I can't see any obvious advantage.  When I go to 'upgrade broadband'  on the website it checks my package but it only gives me information on BT Halo.

Re: Getting help with packages

sorry I am now confused

are you already on FTTC - you have an openreach modem connected to phone socket and a BT hub connected to the modem or when you say modem do you mean separate modem or BT hub

Halo 1 or 2 is an add-on to your broadband package not an actual package on it's own

it would be far easier if you just posted the info from dslchecker link

Re: Getting help with packages

I have a BT modem that need to be unlocked.  This means powering down and reconfiguring the whole thing.  I used the link you gave and that's the information that came up on the page when I put in details of the hub and modem.  I will order the broadband package from the site.  If Halo is just an add on then I don't need it.  There's only me in the house.   Thank you for your help.

Re: Getting help with packages

If you are only getting 20M, changing your package is not going to improve your speed.

Re: Getting help with packages

No, but I'm paying a lot for my package.  I can see now why I can't order the other braodband deals.  It's because they're only available to new customers.  I think I can get a much better deal eslewhere.

Re: Getting help with packages

Tried ringing this morning but there aren't enough operators to answer the calls so I had to give up.  I'm paying nearly £55 a month so I'll check out the other providers.  My friends are all saying they pay a lot less than that.
