BT are demanding more and more money for broadband and mine's getting slower and slower.
I used to get at least 44 mb, now it's down to 31mb?
Here you go...
1. Product name: BT Home Hub 2. Serial number: +068543+NQ42946332 3. Firmware version: Software version 22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.11 (Type A) Last updated 02/07/15 4. Board version: BT Hub 5A 5. DSL uptime: 1 days, 23:25:35 6. Data rate: 7261 / 33478 7. Maximum data rate: 7261 / 43030 8. Noise margin: 6.1 / 9.6 9. Line attenuation: 22.3 / 23.7 10. Signal attenuation: 22.1 / 21.3 11. Data sent/received: 682.8 MB / 6.6 GB 12. Broadband username: firstname.lastname@example.org
Have you been rebooting the Hub? If so stop it, it'll only make matters worse.
Try a quiet line test 17070 option 2, the line should be silent between announcements. Any noise report a line fault not a broadband one.
What noise am I listening for? There's a continual low volume hiss.. but that could be the phone (or my ears!)
Thanks. What do I do about it then? As there was definitely a continual hiss. It wasn't like I had the phone to my ear when it's not making a call.
