HH4 flakey wireless

In the garden this afternoon, 5 bar connection, excellent speeds no problem.

In the garden this evening, same place. Connection keeps dropping, can't maintain a connection longer than about 30 secs, absolute rubbish.

The only thing I can think of is that this afternoon, router was in the shade, this evening in full sunlight although I'm back inside & connected @ 5 bars to 5G. Connection in garden is @ 2.4G.

Is this a feasible explanation?

Barny; all IT is affected by unwanted heat - even my TomTom displayed an "I'm too hot message today"" and its designed to sit in the window!
Simply shielding it with cardboard to keep the direct sun off whilst allowing ventilation (i.e. don't put it in a box) will allow you to test your theory.
