Re: HH5 DSL is down again

I have now had the download speed on my line and the IP above 37.05 for a week now the longest since May 10th 2016 , I have had engineers out and new lines fitted and face plate, I have had 4 replacement HH5, none of these had any effect on my connecton dropping continuosly or my download speed, have been connected for two days now , has managed two spells of 68 hours. Can I mark this as a solution, well only if I have somebody to say they have done something, It is only since I came on here with my problem has it rectified, prior to posting I have had months of speeds as slow as a snail in reverse , so what has changed? I have not done anything , has somebody else?

Re: HH5 DSL is down again

Have been connected for 5 days now the first time for as long as I can remember at least two years , and the connection rate seems more stable but still does fluctuate at times down to the mid twenties but mainly from the early 40's to 51.5 mb still don't have a clue what has changed since posted on here but something has for sure and not at my end. Latest figures :

5. DSL uptime:5 days, 01:03:21
6. Data rate:9999 / 54935
7. Maximum data rate:20883 / 62854
8. Noise margin:13.8 / 8.3
9. Line attenuation:26.6 / 19.2
10. Signal attenuation:26.9 / 19.3

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

 Download Speed
 51.65 Mbps

0 Mbps53.17 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed

Download speedachieved during the test was - 51.65 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 37.22 Mbps-53.17 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 53.17 Mbps

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

Re: HH5 DSL is down again

5. DSL uptime:8 days, 01:07:55
6. Data rate:9999 / 54935
7. Maximum data rate:21338 / 63292
8. Noise margin:14.1 / 8.4
9. Line attenuation:26.6 / 19.2
10. Signal attenuation:26.7 / 19.3

Made a week now and not lost the connection this is the first time ever , I am just getting under 52 Meg download most of the time it does drop during mid afternoon and in the evening for a period , even though the engineer told me traffic shpould not have any significant effect on the connection speed but it can drop to 28 Meg, everything else seems stable so I can only assume the problem is the exchange.

Re: HH5 DSL is down again

Have a download speed of only 1.8 Meg but connected for 9 days now, this seems to be the problem the connection speed drops that low at times BT sport is a waste of money , even with an IP of 53.17 the download drops to nearly nothing. 5. Connection down again , sems to be going back to normal now after 11 days without a drop, also IP has dropped 3 Mps now so having an effect on that now, how long before I am back down to 37.05 Mps ?? I will watch and see if it goes back up or if it keeps goig down, looks like the hub or the exchange can't sustain a constant connection for some reason but BT seem not to have the answer

Re: HH5 DSL is down again

Down again can't BT maitain a stable connection?

5. DSL uptime:0 days, 01:50:58

9. Line attenuation:26.6 / 19.6
10. Signal attenuation:26.6 / 19.8

Ip down from 53.95 to 50.93 due to restart for no apparent reason again, I have not had an explanation fron BT why my hub keeps restarting at random times, not only this hub, I have had four HH5s now all the same which indicates it is a BT problem either a fault or by their own creation for some purpose.

Your service was found to be performing poorly.
Please raise a fault with your service provider, stating that the BT Performance Tester tool indicates poor service throughput performance after the third test.
