IP back up after a few days of stability of moden as advised by Guru maybe the problem is the bit of kit we are either given or charged for that is not up to the task and should be given an option when joining BT to get a discount and purchse more reliablr kit , My neighbour has just got the latest hub so will see what that goes like on his connection , I am looking at another modem and will try that out and see if I get a stable connection.

Bought a TP-Link AC2600 Dual Band Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit VDSL/ADSL Modem Router , a few weeks ago now my IP was only 43 when fitted and remained so for the first two weeks , but hen gradually crept up to 53, I have had no drop outs so far and have a nice stable internet connection now and can watch TV and sport now. I can only draw to the conclusion that the ofending item is the HH5 and why are we being given something that isn't man enough for the job, we are paying fo this as it will be computed into the overall price for broadband, so why are we not given the otion to go our own way and have a reduction for not taking the option of something that is not up to the job it is designed for. My results today are as follows and it has cost me £199.00 to get a satisfactory stable internet connection , well worth it for me and the HH5 can be filed under B1N
