I have had four new HH5's since may, the reason being I had signed up for 52 on an advanced offer and never ever got near it except for four days and I got 44 meg, but besides that zilch it has been the same as it was before I opted for the upgrade. My IP has been static at 37.05 except for one occassion it went up to 44. I have had an engineer out and he has replaced my wire down to the faceplate , which he also replaced, he did numerous tests , the house next door to me gets the full 52 meg, and as he is on a diffeent pole he is 300m closer to the cabinet (#2) than me. I am 1400m away from the cabinet and the fibre, so coud get some loss as BT know after a certain distance away from the cabinet the speed will drop significantly. I have waited for a while also as there has been some road works and BT/openreach have moved the cabinet further away from most residents, par for the course obviously the cheapest option not the most beneficial to the customer. After the engineer had finished my speed went up and so did my IP, he was there and said I should be getting at about 42 meg but it went up to 44 meg and my IP to 47 . So all looked good until that evening when once again the HH5 decided to go down ( PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request]) . It does this at least two times a day on average but sometimes it can be twice and hour, all four HH5 I have had have done this and continue to do so. After these few miniutes of down time the BB connection will return. I can and have got speeds as low as 0.24 download and 0.26 upload after this event and many time just 6 meg or low teens. From the 5th sept to the 9th sept I had speeds of 44 meg for five days , this was when I fitted a new HH5, the engineer had been and done the wiring and socket , the only thing that changed was the HH5 it remained stable for those days before it as all the others started playing it games as have all the others. My HH5 is on the incoming line so has minimum wire , the Openreach engineer told me that peak usage should not really affect the download speed on fibre. The engineer was at my house until 6.30pm and arrived mid afternoon and did many checks, the thing that I find it hard to understand is why does my IP keep setting the level at 37.05? and does 300m degrade from 52 meg down to 35 meg ? The problem seems to be either the HH5 or from the pole to the cabinet or even at the exchange , I have had 4 HH5 and all have done the same!
Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.

Today I do a speed test and find I have 49.9 meg, the first time ever , my modem reports:
|5. DSL uptime:||0 days, 02:06:15|
|6. Data rate:||9999 / 52612|
|7. Maximum data rate:||20782 / 63924|
|8. Noise margin:||13.8 / 8.6|
|9. Line attenuation:||26.8 / 19.7|
|10. Signal attenuation:||27.0 / 19.8|
So that looks good and a speed check :Download speedachieved during the test was - 49.09 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 35.65 Mbps-50.93 Mbps .
IP Profile for your line is - 50.93 Mbps
The first time my IP has gone above 37.05 for months and only for a few days in years. So what has happened to chnge this ??? Still got the problem with modem :

Hopefully that may be the last time that it does this also and the line problem or exchange has been rectified I will see and post back in a few days.
Looks like DLM now sees your line as stable. You may get a couple of more resets as there's still a bit more to squeeze out of it.
First time my modem has stayed connected for this long, I am hoping this is the connection finally sorted as I have been waiting since May 10th this year , so nearly 7 months to get what I was told I would get with Fibre , has somebody flicked a switched at the exchange?
I will see how this goes for a few more days yet though as it is early days and I have had the connection stable once before and attained higher than 37.05 IP
