HH5 Restart - Logs say Power Button pressed?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me why my HH5 has restarted after 10 or so days of uptime? The DLM was reset at the exchange 10 days ago so I am unsure if this is part of the process. Speeds don't appear to have changed and I'm still sycning at max for infinity 2. I'm wondering why there's a System start Button press (PowerButton) event in there as I haven't touched the hub so as to avoid upsetting DLM. Logs from time of restart below.

Re: HH5 Restart - Logs say Power Button pressed?

I've noticed the HH5B shows button press for a number of reboot events. I've seen it when my hub crashed and restarted, and when the hub is restarted by BT every 14 days.

As far as whether the restart was related to the CWMP event, I don't think we'll know. A reboot is one of the methods within CWMP (section A.3.2.9 of TR-069), but as there's no details in the log relating to the parameter that was set, it'd be a guess to say that's what caused the reboot.

Re: HH5 Restart - Logs say Power Button pressed?

Spoiler

The 14 days reboot is more associated with the hh5a not 5b and is caused by the DLM. It is more of an inconvenience than a problem as speed and noise margin are just the same before and after restart

Re: HH5 Restart - Logs say Power Button pressed?

I've been seeing it on my HH5B with the v0.07.05.0A13-BT firmware. The hub was installed on 29-Mar and then rebooted every 14-days up to 11-May.

16:36:28, 11 May.	System start Button press (PowerButton)
16:36:11, 11 May.	System up
16:25:51, 27 Apr.	System start Button press (PowerButton)
16:25:34, 27 Apr.	System up
16:18:01, 13 Apr.	System start Button press (PowerButton)
16:17:42, 13 Apr.	System up
16:11:16, 29 Mar.	System start Button press (PowerButton)
16:10:59, 29 Mar.	System up

The above cycle has been broken now as we've had a couple of power outages.
