So this is interesting. I didnt switch over devices last night. This morning the apple device connected to the WAP set up unchanged from yesterday that wasnt working.
One apple device has manual IP address and DNS servers set up. The other doesnt and it has also connected!
This makes tracking down the problem quite difficult.
For now I will see how long this lasts before trying anything.
