I was wondering if someone could help me understand the fibre on demand service offered by Openreach.
I have a contract with BT, I live about 900 from the FTTC and I'm not happy with my download or upload speeds.
I've been reading about fibre on demand (and according to openreach it's enabled at my exchange). As I understand it, as long as I'm serviced by a FTTC (which I am) I can order a suvery for them to provide a build/install cost. I'm not too fussed about the cost but considering the price drop (as of today) it's looking much more favorable. So I'd like to investigate this option.
But how and who do I request the survey to confirm the build & install price?

I have a feeling that its only available as a business product.
Another thread https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity-Fibre-broadband/How-to-order-FTTP-on-Demand-when-availabilit...
That link is from 2013. My Openreach link says
"In response to a FTTP on Demand (FoD) order we will survey, plan and build the FTTP network to the individual residential or business premise."
See if anyone else has any suggestions.
Residential premises can have a business account,
Have you tried the FTTP team to see if they can help or point you in right direction 08005874787
OK, so how do I order it? Even as a business?

I tried the number expecting them to be closed, but they were there. They checked my line and they advised I could order FOD and even business products if i wanted. However they didn't know how to order it. They did provide me with a number for the Openreach infrastructure solutions team which I'll try tomorrow.
