Re: HUB 5 keeps rebooting

If you just slect the category "Boot" you can see how often it happens

20:33:00, 28 Nov.( 15.650000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
15:58:36, 26 Nov.( 15.630000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
10:15:10, 22 Nov.( 15.670000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
15:52:52, 21 Nov.( 15.590000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
19:37:31, 20 Nov.( 16.610000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
15:41:03, 20 Nov.( 15.670000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
14:53:14, 20 Nov.( 16.670000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)
14:41:12, 20 Nov.( 16.640000) Booting firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.173.1.6 (Type A)

My one used to do it a lot (as you can see) and the fix suggested that worked was a factory reset

It was okay after that...

Re: HUB 5 keeps rebooting

Unfortunately I have tried a factory reset, but that has not helped 😞

Re: HUB 5 keeps rebooting

Hi mellorij

Could there be festive lights near the line / indoor or outdoor  ?  Flashing lights can be  troublesome this time of year.

If not  I'd raise a fault & see if the line checks come back with anything that might need an openreach visit.

https://www.bt.com/consumerFaultTracking/public/faults/reporting.do?pageId=21

Also check if there is anything up locally with openreach's new checker tool.

http://www.homeandwork.openreach.co.uk/problems-with-your-phone-or-broadband/search.aspx

If the test come back with no fault found, then possibly  research using a openreach modem with the hh5 or get a 3rd party non-bt all-in-one. These are the two main fixes people use on here.

You've probably noticed a few of simular threads about HH5 disconnects..

Happy xmas/hoildays dispite the line/hub mischief :smileyhappy:

Re: HUB 5 keeps rebooting

You have a fault on your line and need an engineer out to fix it. Time to make the phone call.

Target noise margin is 6.0.

Re: HUB 5 keeps rebooting

Replaced my hh5 with an open reach modem recently and an Asus router and no more disconnects. Engineer said the hh5 is rubbish and gets knocked offline by various interferences including Xmas trees.

Re: HUB 5 keeps rebooting

Many hubs suffer from christmas lights being to close - it is not confined to the hh5
