Re: Had BT Infinity Installed - Can't connect wirelessly?

If you are able to connect to the wireless but Internet not working it would imply that either the default gateway or router isn't being set, or if not the DNS servers are not being set. I don't know about Mac OS but it could we to do with up settings. Is the adapter already set with a static ip, gateway and DNS. Make sure if there is a way that dhcp is turned on for all ip settings. Before you got infinity did you have another broadband supplier. Was your wireless working with that. Did you have to set you up details statically.

Re: Had BT Infinity Installed - Can't connect wirelessly?

I think that it may be a problem with my mac as it works with all of my other wifi devices.

Even after the new router, no difference, i can connect using ethernet but not wireless.

I bought an adapter for my windows desktop and now even it can work wirelessly.

I guess i was calling the wrong people and am on the wrong forum lol 😉

Trying adding your default gateway, DNS, etc to your adapter settings

You could also trying using Googles DNS.

Re: Had BT Infinity Installed - Can't connect wirelessly?

Hi there Jyot... I just wondered if you got this sorted or not? I've had infinity installed today and like you everything works and connects all apart from my MacBook Pro... I could surf yesterday when with Sky Internet, now a new router with BT and can't connect wirelessly at all - via ethernet, no problems! Would be greatful to hear from you. Thanks
