True, but the fact BT do not update customers on proper speeds and Alerts does not help new customers who think something is going to be wrong. These new customers then search the WWW for answers to the alerts and come across this community to read horrendous story’s.

My alert has now changed to this, to add to the confusion.
“Sorry for the delay
Your order is taking longer than expected. We're working on it and we'll be in touch if there are any changes to your order. Thanks for your patience.”

it will depend on how long it takes openreach to advise that you are now conencted

as a switch from SKY you appear to have had no problems unlike many others    wonder if SKY/BT have now ironed out the switch problem

Many thanks to yourself and everyone who has given advice.

Hopefully buffering in my house is now a thing of the past (was getting 10Mbs on Sky) !
