Have Yahoo been scanning BT customers' emails?

Just after Yahoo announcing that they have been hacked, we now find that Yahoo have been scanning customers' emails and handing anything suspicious over to the US security agencies.

I don't suppose BT will tell us whether or not BT customers' emails were included in this scanning?

Surprised you feel it necessary to ask this.

If they've been scanning, it's reasonable to assume if the server is in the US, that the lot (including those to/from the UK) have been so treated.

Like it or not.

Mind you, it's safe to assume that GCHQ have secret warrants, and are busily tapping into any communications they like in this country.

In America, they ignore the constitution.  In this country, we don't even have one.

I'm sure they'll all be interested in what cousin Maud is doing, or nephew Alphonse.

That's all that goes into my mails, after had them all snooped on (screened) at work. You couldn't find a private email service which was compatible in those days.

Old habits carry on, by instinct.
