Having to switch between Smart Hub and HP printer wireless connections

I can connect to my Smart Hub (Type B) from my Apple Macbook but have to switch to connect to the HP Printer - I can't just print without enabling the wireless connection.

 

This was the same problem on the previous Home Hub but I did not have this with the previous EE router. Other users in my home have this problem. I have separated out the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands.

 

Any thoughts please?

did you turn off smart setup?  did you select channels manually rather than smart wireless?  have you tried changing the wireless mode from1 to either 2 or 3
