What is this fix please. I am having the same issue........only from outlook on my PC though and only for one email account. I tried to resolve with BT, but the team I spoke to refused to log any faulty saying this is not a BT Email servier issue, which wasn't helpful. There's alot about this issue in the forum, but no useful inforamtion on how to fix it.
This is what I'm getting - 550 spam, or phishing or malware. Please check or edit your message and try sending it again.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your emails on Outlook. I noticed that you mentioned you got the error code 550 but posted it under a thread that mentioned the error 553.
From your post it would seem that the email is working through our website but you're experiencing the issue on Outlook. This should be right as the error codes mentioned are usually to do with the SMTP settings on the email client, IE Outlook.
Can you check your settings to make sure they match the following: Outgoing and incoming BT email settings

HI Daniel - yes IMAP email settings all correct. My email has been working fine until yesterday. The BT email servers now dont like me and are still responding immediately with Error code re SPAM/Malware etc.
My other outlook emails are fine with the same configuration. Very bizarre. I still suspect BT email servers are rejecting my email account for some reason and I cant figure out why this has change overnight?

Do the SMTP settings match also? Are you getting the error code 550 or 553?

Hi Daniel - Yes all as it should be. Error 550. Same issue though re SPAM/MALWARE/PHISHING. No known reason why this should randomly happen overnight.
Still unable to send email from the account.....
Do you have any other email clients on your PC that you could test your email account with?
It would be best to rule out an issue solely with the Outlook program on your PC before we tried anything else.
Just to be safe, try and send yourself an email through webmail, our website, to make sure the account is working.

All other email clients ok, ( phone/pc/webmail) all other outlook email accounts ok from my pc. Just one email account via outlook that the BT servers are blocking. I suppose I'll have to delete and rebuild my email account to see if that works. Just wish BT email server upgrades didn't impact my email accounts so much which has been truly troublesome in the past.
