I honestly don't wish to be agumentative but I need a plain non-techie explanation of this.  But to put it mathematically.  I had a speed of "X" before.  Now I have a speed of less than 0.5 X.  This using the same exchange & the same copper wires etc.  This proves that X is achievable.  But now I'm being told it isn't.

to be perfectly honest with you line attenuation (line length) you are on the limits of broadband service as i posted earlier even a different router can give slightly different results
