Re: High Noise Margin

You're on a banded profile, likely due to a historic unstable connection.

It can take months for a banded profile to be released.

Re: High Noise Margin

No one is intentionally preventing you from accessing the higher speeds.

DLM is wholly automated.

What are the results for your line when using http://www.dslchecker.bt.com

Re: High Noise Margin

We did have a lot of power cuts 5 months or so ago as the power company were replacing telegraph poles etc . It was around 10 cuts in as many days.

But that wouldnt have just been me ..... that would be the same for virtually half of the village where we live so doesnt the system take that into account when a whole village goes of instead of just me lol .

Re: High Noise Margin

In theory it does, DLM regards it as a wide area fault and should ignore it. It should also release banding, but it doesn't always do that either. Smiley Frustrated

Re: High Noise Margin

Not quiet.

You need to call the helpdesk and request an engineer visit as you're connected below the expected range for your line.
