High snr margin

Hi guys I'm new here so be gentle with me
So id like to know if my fttc noise margins are ok,my upstream noise is 22.3db my downstream is 8.8db line attenuation is 14.8,I'm an avid gamer play a lot of fps games and I basically have a terrible time with connection,I'm not saying I have bad latency or spikes it's just that bullets when playing any games like cod or battlefield do not register at all,I read that the target snr is 6 for both directions so was wondering why mine is so high my games feel very very out of sync, what's happening on my screen is not real time i feel very behind the action, latency type says im fastpath too,I played on a friends console who lives 2 streets away from me who doesn't have fibre and it's a complete different experience his is amazing compared to mine
One last thing I don't have speed issues I get what I pay for 55down 10 up
Hope some of you can shed some light on this for me

Re: High snr margin

Ideally you need to post the router stats . If you are on Infinity 1 but your line is able to reach Infinity 2 speeds then the snr will be higher than 6  depending on how much higher the max attainable speed is.

Re: High snr margin

It can fluctuate slightly.

There's nothing wrong with your SNR, it's higher than 6 as you're on infinity 1 and your line is capable of slightly higher than it's current connection rate so there's some "spare margin"

Re: High snr margin

Can you think of any reason I have such a terrible time with online gaming?I pay for a very inconsistent service but not blaming bt as I think there must be an issue elsewhere, just not sure where,I cover all bases within my home, game over ethernet have openreach filter faceplate I've bought a better rj11 to carry my broadband from wall to modem/hub Im running out of ideas,I've put up with this for 2 years now it's ruining my experience really

Re: High snr margin

I take it that you mean 'all online games'??

If not, is it graphics?

If it is, then latency?
