Home Hub 3 - 2 issues

Hi

Hope someone can help / offer advice.

I have a home hub 3 to which I connected a TPlink WA830 wireless extender as I have an old house and have dead zones. I also connected a old pc to the extender as it was not wireless enabled. All has ben great for over a year.

 

For Xmas I got a new laptop woith Windows 8.1. Set it up and everything was OK.

 

A few days later and my wireless extender upstairs is not working at all. Tried re-setting etc but to no avail.

 

Have also noticed that the Home Hub is also dropping off my connection when I am connected (via Ipad, Iphones)

 

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing same thing ?

 

Only other thing i have done is upgraded by broadband to unlimited but don't think that should have affected it ?

Probably someone else nearby has started using the same wireless channel as you, and its interefering with your connection.

Try changing the wireless channel to a different one, and see if it helps.
