Home Hub 3 compared to Home Hub 5

I currently have a HH3 and will soon be adding a new box to handle vitistors using the Wifi.  I am very pleased with the HH3 arrangement as it delivers the promised speed and is relaible.  However, I notice there is a new hub device, namely the HH5.  I would be interested in knowing what the user benefits are of 5 over 3.  Also, if I wanted to swop my 3 for a 5 would BT/OpenReach allow it?

Thank you

Re: Home Hub 3 compared to Home Hub 5

Yes you can use the HH5 instaed of the HH3 if you want.

The HH5 has AC wireless and is dual frequency which allows devices that can use dual frequencies to do so. If you are an Infinity customer it also does away with the Openreach Modem as it has an integrated VDSL modem.

Having said that, read through the forum and you will see numerous posts about problems with the HH5.

If it were me I would take the view " If it ain't broke don't fix it" and stick with your reliable HH3

Thank you for your advice, which I will take and now forget about the HH5.
