Re: Home Hub 5 Firewall bug causing dropped DSL connections?

No not with the openreach modem and HH3 Type B. Only when I use the HH5 on it's own.

There are three options here:

1. I'm unlucky with HH5's.

2. HH5's are of poor quality and 100% of them I've had are faulty.

3. Something else is casuing the issue.

I'd go with 3 based upon a statistical approach.

Re: Home Hub 5 Firewall bug causing dropped DSL connections?

I think it is either a firmware issue (most of my resets occur within 10 minutes of a failed remote admin hack attempt), or dodgy hardware, or both.

What about if you have the OR modem plugged into the HH5?

Never tried that that and it defeats the purpose of the HH5 somewhat.

Re: Home Hub 5 Firewall bug causing dropped DSL connections?

It would help us to rule out if the HH5 modem is the issue, rather than HH5 as a whole
