Yes, I'm using the same filter. Nothing has changed except that I'm connecting via the test socket. Download speed has doubled back to what it was a few days ago. I will leave it like this for a few days as you suggested.

I have spent a most infuriating day with this and I've never known my connection be so unstable in the ten years I've been with BT.
Using the test socket, the Home Hub is continually rebooting itself and all this began on May 1st. Up until that time, I'd never had any problems whatsoever. Now I have speeds that fluctuate from fast to non-existent. My IP Profile seems to change continually and my overall download speed has halved.
Even as I'm typing this, I can see it has gone again.

Right now, this is unusable for me because it's simply not a connection I can rely on.

is quiet line test quiet or hiss/crackle?
There are no problems reported on my exchange. The Quiet Noise test: I can hear an intermittent ticking.
Here is the WAN lofg file for this morning. Multiple disconnections continue. Broadband completely unusable.
