Home hub 5 - download speeds

I have a home hub 5 and connect a number of devices by wifi. (2 laptop, tablets, android phones, and desktop) however when i run a speed test on the devices they all return different results. download speed varying from 10mbps to 40 mbps.

Is there a way i can control the download speed / allowance for individual devices ?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Home hub 5 - download speeds

Your only option may be to use the different bands available on wireless - 2.4GHz Wireless-G is the slowest, then 5GHz wireless-N, then 5GHz wireless-AC is the fastest. You can also adjust the bandwidth in use, e.g 20 MHz, 40 MHz, 80 MHz.

Re: Home hub 5 - download speeds

you need a router that allows (Qos) Quality of service settings the Home Hub does not allow this that is the only way to control the speeds on individual devices
