For the last 3 days everytime we get a call to our homephone or if we make a call out it disconnect us from broadband, has anybody else had this or know what the prob could be?, i have asked BT on live chat but they always want to call me but i find it to hard to understand what they are saying to me.
Have you tried connecting to the test socket at the rear of the master socket
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
This is a customer to customer self help forum the only BT presence here are the forum moderators
have you tried replacing the filter as they often go faulty
Thanks for this mate, i will try this asap and get back to you, we have slow broadband anyway as i we are one of the last of exchange but have never had this problem before.
Yep I have had exactly the same problem for the last 3 days too!
Every time I get a phone call the broadband cuts off.
I am using openreach socket, can you advise please
well the originator asked if anyone else had this problem, so I am letting him know that they have.
Therefore the problem is not exclusive to him.
I will create a new thread.
there can be different causes of the similar problem that is why you were asked to start your own thread it also helps the forum mods if they need to get involved
