Hi all,
I've been having issues with my HH6 for the past month or so where it keeps resetting for no reason every day or so.
Some history:
I experienced a massive slow down in speed (from 8Mb to 0.25Mb) just after Christmas and eventually got an engineer to call. He put me a new master socket in and things returned to normal for a week or so. The speed of the line actually increased to around 9Mbs.
Unfortunately, I then started to experience random disconnects and reboots of the HH to a point where it was going a few times a day. I got another engineer to come out, as there appeared to be quite a bit of noise on the line, but on the day of his visit, the noise had disappeared and it was pretty much a pointless visit for him. He did some tests but he said all looked fine from the socket to the exchange.
So now, the connection is stable for a few days and then for no reason the HH seems to reboot. It always appears to be in the evening between 19:00 - 21:00. I've looked on the logs on the HH and it says "power reset" or words to that effect. This seems a bit strange as the router is in a cupboard and no-one touches it.
Anyone any ideas as to what might be causing this? I do have a second HH6 which also seems to do the same behaviour. Is it worth buying a non-BT router?
Thanks
John
are you connecting to the test socket with a filter and see if that stabilises your connection - i understand you have a new filtered socket when in test socket checkt that there is no dial tone at any extension socket whether in use or not
can you post hub stats - advanced settings then trechnical log information
any noise on quiet line test?

It is a new filtered socket and will check the lack of dial tone when connected to test socket.

Will do when I get back tonight
>>any noise on quiet line test?
Nothing of any note. There was a period of time when it was noisy but that seems to have gone away now.
Thanks
John
