Just received a call from the engineer.
Apparently there is a faulty card in the green box, and they are waiting for a replacement.
It's due today (yeah right!).
Engineer thinks there are 60+ accounts effected.
So why doesn't BT know about the fault ????
Well blow me down.
Checked the connection yesterday ( Saturday ), still dire.
Checked again today ( Sunday ) and it's back to "normal", cira 54 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up.
Perhaps the engineers work on Sundays ?

Now it's just a case of getting BT to refund 2 weeks broadband fees - wish me luck 🙂
BT wouldnt know because they are a different company to openreach.
Engineers do also work on sundays.
A problem like that wouldnt be limited to your estate. Its either everyone on the card, or just you.
If it happens again its likely to be a bt problem, not a line problem.
