Re: How can I make My internet faster & not cut out (BT Hub 6)

Hi I've tried to change the channels without splitting, there was a rescan button I think I pressed and that changed the channels, well the 2.4ghz channel, the most important one.

I thought that might work but now I've figured out the cause of the cutting out at roughly the same of the day. It's the morning and evening. The cause I think is.... Someone uses the phone l! It happens everyday.

What can I do about that ? Does anyone know? Maybe @imjolly  ? Also I keep getting 1/2 second drop outs now since I've changed the channel of the 2.4 one, but the 5ghz won't change for some reason. Is the way I've changed the 2.4 channel way the right way on the hub 6? Just click rescan I think it's called.

Any advice? I'm getting there, slowly. Thanks @imjolly for the advice so far, let me know if you can solve this one about the cutting off when phone calls are ongoing and the constant drop outs every now and again. Eg it won't do it for a few hours then does it twice in a 2 mins or something?

Thanks

Re: How can I make My internet faster & not cut out (BT Hub 6)

Thanks ,

I'm not connected to it but I've heard if you opt in to bt fone you lose speed on your own internet, so I wanted to opt out of it. It still shows up as an avaible network. It doesn't help living right next (and a couple more) door to a guy using BT and I've checked all their channels and they were all on the same one.

There is an app I've got which is great "WiFi analysier" or something, That tells me all me closest neighbors channels and the strength compared to mine.

I have scrolled back though the post but I can't see if you are using test socket with a filter.  if you use a filter then try changing it and see if that stops the connection dropping on receiving/making calls

you should be able to change both the 2.4 and 5ghz network channels but you need to split the networks to do that
