I've been upgraded to Halo 3, and I'm trying to position my disc to extend the wi-fi. This would be easier if I understood how it worked. The Openreach technician who installed the Halo 3 indicated that the Smart Hub communicated with the Disc via the household mains cabling. Is this true? Or do they communicate through the air?
Any insight appreciated, thanks.
They communicate by Wifi, to the BT Smart Hub 2, so they need to be within range.

Hi @marchv
The complete WiFi discs connect to the SH2 by WiFi or Ethernet. The only way that your mains supply comes into play is if you are using powerline adapters with Ethernet to the SH2 and disc.
Thanks both
