I am currently considering whether to purchase a new BT Whole Home system for a family member of purchase an Eero mesh system.
I have seen several sites indicate that the Eero system is the market leader and far superior to options such as the Whole Home system, but I don't quite understand why.
I noticed that the BT Whole Home system is rated as AC2600 and the Eero system is rated at AC1300, which made me think that the BT system would be twice as fast, but I have seen people dismiss this.
Can people on the forum confirm exactly what the AC rating means?
And in your experience how does the whole home system compare to Eero and others?
Just giving this a bump.
Not sure if this topic has been done to death and that's why there have been no replies?
I did try searching the forums but didn't find conclusive answers.
Elsewhere I have seen Eero fans state that the BT Whole Home just acts as dumb access points and that Eero is far superior due to its TrueMesh capability.
Is this true?
To be honest, this is probably not the best forum to get comparisons between systems, you would be better posting on an independent forum. The BT Whole Home is a Mesh system not just a set of access points.
Thank you for the reply and point noted.
Rather than comparisons then, could you confirm if there’s any existing content on this forum or from BT which details the Whole Home tech?
I have been looking online to establish how the mesh works and to learn more about it, but I haven’t been able to find many details.
Another system to consider https://www.tendacn.com/uk/product/mw3.html
That is what I use.
