Just signed up yesterday to Fibre 2 via web chat and I've been given a changeover date from my current provider however at the moment I can't set up any email addresses either for myself or anyone else. As I need to make sure I don't lose any emails and move everything over before "D Day" when will I be able to create my @btinternet email addresses?
Why set up yet another email address tied to an ISP. Use Gmail and you won't need to keep changing email address every time you change provider.
I have a personalised email address but use an underlying masked address with my ISP. I don't like Gmail so don't use it.
Just seems odd that I can't at least have the primary email address based on my BT ID from the very beginning.
@plusmore57 - It doesn't take much to work out that personal email address - your forum id makes it rather obvious. While you are researching a solution, may I suggest you edit your email a little more to make it less obvious as this is a public forum.
You will first of all need to set up a BTID/MyBT and then set up an email address.
Once the BTID/MyBT has been set up it can take a couple of days for all the parts/products of MyBT to become populated.
