I bought a new mobile 10 days ago with 5G, but when I log onto My Mobile on the MyBT site, it is still showing the details of the old mobile. I have upgraded to a 5G plan, and a 5G sim. I am just wondering how long the system takes to recognise the new phone and up date the details in my mobile?
Usually 48 hours. I would try removing and re-inserting the sim, and if that doesn't work just pop it back into the old device, turn it on, then put it back into the new one. Sounds like it just needs the proverbial kick up the backside.
Don't worry about it, all 3 of our SIMs show the wrong phone and have done for some years.

Probably stay like that forever.
Up until recently mine was showing an S8+ currently using a Note 20 and have upgraded each year.
I don’t think it matters too much though.
