How to I read an 'unread' email??

Go to solution

After migration, it is showing one 'unread' email in my sent folder. How to I get rid of this and read it? (In the old days, you simply right clicked and selected 'read unread', can find no way to access this errant message!

Assuming there is an unread email your sent folder it should automatically change to read when you click on it but I have checked and this does not necessarily happen every time.

If it doesn't change, hover over the email in the list and you will see a series of icons appear at the far right. Click on the icon that looks like an eye and this will change it from unread to read or vice versa if it is showing as read.

That's the problem, I cannot find the unread email! There are over 40,000 sent emails, could be going back years and the migration has simply spewed an old one up. Is there a way to list 'unread' email so I can get rid of it?

Yes. It has been mentioned before how to do that but as it has apparently been lost in the quagmire of the moaning thread this is how to do it.

Change the view to one with a preview pane to the right then go to the filter beside the search box and click on it where you will be offered the option.
