We just got BT TV and broadband and wishing we'd stayed with Sky. our main phone socket is in the hall near the front door, and our TV is in the living room. There is a phone socket near the TV, but the home hub won't work in it.
I've read other posts mentioning extenders and adaptors, but find it all a bit confusing. Can someone please explain in simple terms what we need to do to get our YouView box connected to broadband? And if we need to buy any extra equipment, links would be most helpful.
An extra long ethernet cable isn't an option.
We have regular broadband, not infinity as cabinet full.
Only subscription channels we have are kids TV package.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @JT42 sounds very much like my set up. Main socket in hallway ect. I use these and I honestly can't fault them, for me they work perfectly, I can stream the ultra hd channel and record another without problems.
Very simple set up, plug in near your hub if you have no spare socket the mini connectors have a plug on them so you can plug the hub into the connector then plug the connector into the wall socket, you get 2 ethernet cables as well, link one cable from the connector to the hub. Take the other mini connector to the tv area plug in and link a ethernet cable from the mini connector to the back on the bt tv box.
