How to control TV with an old BT Youview remote

I have a YouView remote like the one picured. Can anyone tell me the key sequence to press before I enter the four digit code to allow it to switch the TV on and off? All of the instructions I can find talk about the TV and AV buttons, but this remote doesn't have those.

That looks more like a remote control from the old obsolete Vision+ boxes?

Well, it is a few years old, with buttons for Youview and BTVision, and works with our BT YouView box.

I believe it is the remote supplied with the early BT T1000 Youview boxes which had a very similar look to the BT Vision box remote of the time .. Youview button towards the top left.

Yes, YouView is the blue button near the top left. Our old identical remote could switch the TV on with shift/AD & power button.

I believe it is  holding the VOL- and mute remote keys for five seconds  gets you into the setup for the remote

then you would need the right code for your TV.

Hi, can I ask what code you used?  I am trying 4483 for my Samsung but no joy.  I am holding mute & VOL- until it flashes 3 times, entering the code, but the remote still doesn’t operate the tv

I found this  list of codes, 0736 worked for me.
