Re: How to request a functionality addition to the Home Hub 3

Hi paulhand
The hh3 does port forward very well actually. You need to go into advanced configuration and use the options from there. As routers go, apart from NAT loopback and not being able to define your own ddns service, the router is great - best I've seen from BT. Just such a shame if they can't iron out these extra few features. If it can't be added then I will be getting the dual channel n600 from netgear as it does support everything according the my sales enquiry with netgear - my experience is 20+ years of professional it support and Internet configurations 🙂

This has nothing to do with port forwarding. Port forwarding works fine.

What's happening with this thread BT? This thread and it's possibilities is the only thing stopping me going out and buying a Netgear

Re: How to request a functionality addition to the Home Hub 3

This is a deal breaker for me also, I had a router before that I forced DNS to make work instead of loopback but that is so messy and I have multiple external domains now so really need this, it's bad enough that you can't get a static IP on infinity but I could live with the hassle of that for the loopback functionality.

Glad to see BT have time to moderate but not actually provide an answer...

Even a message to tell us that the engineer has been chased up would be fine 🙂

Re: How to request a functionality addition to the Home Hub 3

Hi Guys

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have received some more feedback from some of you and have been passed it on.

Thanks to those you advised of their own personal experience and what they want from their router, I have forwarded these on to the Hub Development team.

I am still chasing this up and will update when I have something more concrete for you all.

Thanks

Stuart

Re: How to request a functionality addition to the Home Hub 3

Thanks Stuart, good to see someone is on the case - I personally don't have my box or line set up yet but it goes live the end of this month so will need to start working out whether I will need to fool the internal units via DNS or not (hopefully if I do it will be a temporary solution as i'm sure you guys will keep us happy!)

Still nothing? Even a 'we have no clue' would be nice.
