Hi I've beenhaving the same issues with packets being blocked and extremely slow speeds, i'm consistently geting 0.13Mbps down and have been for the past 2 days. Before this i was getting around 3 Mbps and all of a sudden I'm getting this pathetic speed. from what what i've read on the forums so far I believe my profile has been banded and if i leave my connection on for 3 consecutive days it will come back however I doubt my connection is stable enough for this to happen. My home hub is connected at between 3.5 to 4 Mbps down and 0.5 up even though the highest i've had using the online tests from my pc using ethernet or phone using wifi is 0.15 Mbps and is extremely consistent at this speed whereas my upload speed has been from anywhere between 0.01 to 1 Mbps and latency has been between around 100 ms to nearly 9s! Please help as at this speed, it makes my internet unusable essentially, Thanks in advance, Neil

you are on adslmax and therefore you are not in a banded profile. it sounds more like your connection has been dropping and at one reconnection your speed has been very low say 200kbps which resulted in rock bottom ip profile of 0.14mb your speed has now recovered to 2.9mb but your profile is probably still rock bottom and will not correct itself until you can maintain a stable connection 24/7 for 3/5 days
at present your conenction time is only 10min is that due to manual reset or router dropping cnnection?
are you conected to test socket?
try quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with cordeed phone
run btspeedtester and when first tets completes then run diagnostic test and post results must be done with wired connection and do not reset before test
Hi, thanks for your reply. my connection has been stable for the past 5 or so hours now but before it was dropping out on its own, it has reset since then while i was sleeping tho, theses are more up to date stats...
Im not connected to the test socket either, i do have an extention aswell but there is nothing plugged into it, only my phone and home hub plugged into the master socket. Ive already swapped filters aswell but to no avail. I don't have a corded phone either but when i did the quiet line test there was a consitent popping sound, very regular at about a second.
speed test failed with error 2032 first attempt on upload part, second attempt as follows...
Here you go...
1. Best Effort Test:
Download Speed : 0.15 Mbps
Your speed test has completed and the results are shown above, however during the test an error occurred while trying to retrieve additional details regarding your service. As a result we are unable to determine if the speed you received during the test is acceptable for your service. Please re-run the test if you require this additional information.
Thanks, so do i just have to wait it out for 3 days and hope my router doesn't drop connection or will i have to restart my router to update the noise margin when it reconnects, also if i do have to restart my router is it worth switching to the test socket.
