Re: Hub 6 wireless now unuseable

Go to solution
Thanks. I had Various devices that stopped connecting but work with the HH5.

I'll give it another go but looks like there is no where in settings to force a firmware update? I just have to leave it connected and guess it will download at some point.

Correct. No manual firmware update option.

Whilst waiting for a firmware update you could always use the Hub 5 for WiFi.

- change the IP of the Hub 5 to e.g., 192.168.1.254
- disable DHCP on the Hub 5
- connect the Hub 5 and Hub 6 via LAN port on each

Typo in the above. IP should not be .254, but .253.

Why has BT Not sorted this I made them aware of this problem with hub6 and iOS 10 back in September it's really not good enough they advertise their new products so why are they are not sorting the firmware updates for them urgently?

I've been having issues with HH5 when my laptop connects to the 5gig everything else drops off, mobiles, consoles, Mrs's laptop and even the Sky box runs really slow. Disconnect my laptop all runs fine!
Upgraded to HH6 and exactly the same thing happens! I don't understand why the sky box is affected, won change channel nor Fast Forward/Rewind et etc (sky box is connected by Ethernet).....................
