Hub2 extenders

Go to solution

Hi, just joined BT with their Fibre 2 package and was delivered a Hub2 router. Everything is setup and working with good signal & speed in all rooms with the exception of one where I work from home, a converted garage room with thick brick walls. In that room the signal & speeds are poor. I have tried an old BT 1200 extender which helps the signal but pulls down the speed. I was think of either, the BT wifi disc (black) for £100 or the White Mini wifi 2 discs package for £74 to 'cure' the problem. Can anyone suggest what system will give me the best results?

If it is just to one location and it is on the same mains consumer unit as your hub, you might want to consider these https://shop.bt.com/products/bt-mini-wi-fi-home-hotspot-600-kit-084288-BVFF.html

Ah, I already have a extender plugged at the router and the other one at my Youview TV box, so I don't think would work.

You can have multiple slaves but only one master connected to the hub. Not all slaves are necessarily compatible though.

I've had a look at these but they have bad reviews and as the room I'm working in is an extension I'm unsure if the wall plugs will be on the same ring main. Still wondering if the hub discs either the black one or the 2 piece white discs are my best bet.
