I have just subscribed to the big sport package with a 24 month contract. I have now been sent an email stating that my monthly bill is to increase by £6 per month from November 1st . Is this correct, can BT do this?
What package does it mention on the email?
Garybs29, thank you for replying . The email from BT states:
From 1 November 2020 your BT Sport and TV prices will go up by £6 a month.
Chances are if ypu've just upgraded that was on the old paxkage hence why i was asking what package it stated. Sometimes on these notifications they will stste a date it was based on & what was on the account then. Maybe best to call & check though

It's a price change notification from the old plan you had, the legacy BT TV packages are having an increase, the new packages which includes 'Big Sport' are not being changed.
Garybs29 Thankyou. This is helpful and reassuring.
Richie. Thank you. This is helpful.
Was this an end of discount price rise or are all legacy packages getting this mid contract?
TheRealBudski, Thank you for your reply. I have received replies from two other experts and it is beginning to point to the fact that the price increase does relate to a legacy package, which I no longer have. I do not know if all legacy package subscribers are receiving this message I'm afraid.
