Hi,
I have superfast fibre with BT - 56mbits I think (I get 5mbyte download speads). All companies I look at broadband offers - including BT!- say I can't get it. They only offer the old slow 10mbit BB.
Any ideas how to resolve?
Thanks

Is it a fibre direct into your house at the moment?
I suspect the cabinet you are connected to is full and there are no spare ports available.
It's fibre to the cabinet.
Ok that makes sense, but how do I switch broadband providers in this case? Presumably I am currently using a port.

What does it say here, does it say "waiting list" on the VDSL line at the top?
Broadband availability checker
Please remember to edit out your phone number before you post the results.
Hmmm it says this in the text below the table
"FTTP is not available.
VDSL FTTC and SOGEA is currently not available on this cabinet due to following reasons:- This cabinet is temporarily unavailable for fibre orders due to engineering works..
For all ADSL and WBC Fibre to the Cabinet (VDSL or G.fast) services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage."
Here is an image of the table:
In that case, if you try to change your provider, you will lose your port, and will then have to wait until all the engineering work is completed. There may also be a waiting list after that, so I would not do anything at the moment, until it shows "available"

Yes, but as soon as your current service is ceased somebody else will grab your port.
The engineering work may be adding new ports, keep checking the checker.
