I use Usernet, however I use Alt.Binz as a client. No speed issues on Port 119. Like you BT Infinity Option 2
Yep, since Monday everything has been corrected as BT said they would be, though I thought they actually meant next monday. It appeared they pulled their finger out and got it sorted.
Something to do with a 'hot vp' at the Worle exchange. I understand they took control of my line and did a thorough test on it.
Works great now:)
Use the 'mods' on this site as it was them that forced this through. Though I did make a lot of complanits to billing, faults etc etc.
which mod did u deal with?
at present they are just issuing the standard send an enginner out to me
which will be utterly pointless. Added to that i have no time to book off.
also they wont be here at peak time, and the fact its fine off peak means it not an issue here at the enduser.
the fact it occurs at peak time points to the exchange at chrolton or futher down the infrastructure.
trying to convince them to check it properly isnt getting through at present.
it needs checking at peak time
had simialr issues at old place in early days of virgin, 8 engineers out to no avail, until i spoke to a director and what u know they had a problem in the core at bagley when they fixed that, voila no more issues.
history seems to be repeating itself with bt fttc.
Latest line check through speedtester.bt.com

Well, I can beat you upload rate Cherkhan...
...but I think I've got a way to go before my download rate is on par!
I for one have had enough.
To add insult to injury BT are now throttling online gaming so I can't even play computer games in the evenings (and I sure as **bleep** can't want TV or a movie on it).
I just want it gone so I can go back to the slightly flakey 4mb service I used to have... at least when it was working it did everything I wanted and it was really obvious when something was wrong because it didn't work at all, but only for a day or two... this is over 3 weeks.
It's happened to me on quite a few occassions now. 1 meg down 8 meg up.
Just phoned BT but I hung up after a minute, I can't face going through some standard fault finding sheets when I know it's an issue with the exchange not my settings 😞
Anybody have a direct number or email to someone who knows the situation & can do something about it. I'll email Craig firstly as he has kindly offered to help out with this issue.
