Hi,

 

I have just recently had Infinity installed in my home, but are having problems sourcing correct IP address for netflix on my Smart TV.

 

Would be grateful for any assistance as to resolve this issue.

Hi David,

 

Unfortunately, I am still having difficulty connecting Smart TV as states cannot connect to Internet, with either check security key on Wireless Router(do't have one) as BT infinity and is IP  set correctly. I have been through various IP addresses, but can't get the TV to connect to internet, had no problem with previous provider.

This is a very common problem which has been posted before on this forum.

 

There are a couple of help pages here, which may apply to your model of TV.

 

Samsung Smart TV

 

Panasonic Viera

 

You need to specify a static IP address as described, as the normal DHCP request is not recognised by the home hub, from those devices.

Switching Smart Setup off on the BT Home Hub will probably resolve problem.
