Re: IP Profile/Max Achievable Speed dropped after recent Line installation

Yep! Helped by a tweaked SNR but even at the default 6 the billion was about 8-900kbps quicker than the hub.

At a 2dB snr the connection has been stable for months. Another tell tale sign the broadcom chipsets in the Billion routers are quality.

I know it's pathetic scrapping for a few hundred kbps but at this end of the spectrum every tiny bit helps!

Just need the local power company to connect up my fibre cab, there's a delay due to a wayleave issue though 😞

I know what you mean about squeezing as much as you can get out of ADSL connections, luckily I'm past that!Smiley LOL

Expect around 50meg when it goes live.

Can. Not. Wait!

Re: IP Profile/Max Achievable Speed dropped after recent Line installation

Well my Home Hub 5 (when i connected it for testing puporses) reported

6. Data rate:11985 / 52641
7. Maximum data rate:12116 / 60377

If there any reason to think the modem i bought could be at fault then?

BT Openreach NGA ECI-CPE-MODEM TYPE 1FTTC VDSL ECI B-FOCUS V rev.B

Been looking at this thread here.

Not looking at what you've posted. Cherrypicking what you think matters doesn'thelp.

What's the SNR, line attenuation, etc???

Re: IP Profile/Max Achievable Speed dropped after recent Line installation

I was cherry picking because i was asked to by Webby.

"The maximum data rate reported in the hub/modem is key."

Also, all the information you asked for is on page one.
