IP Profile Stuck?

My BT BB speed had been about 5mb/s for a couple of years, but last week, I went to test iplayer HD and had so many problems that it was un-watchable.

 

I called BT BB who said that they would request that my IP Profile is raised from 2000 Kbps.

 

Various calls have happened since, and they claim they had raised the profile. However, I have checked and they have not done it - it is still the same.

 

During the latest call, they advised me reset the router, and to unscrew the socket on the wall as inside would be another connection. I unscrewed the socket and there isn't. They have booked an engineer to visit my home.

I have said numerous times that they need to raise the IP profile.

 

Can anyone please tell me if my line is good etc. how I can get the IP Profile raised, and what should it be?

Hi you have a stuck ip profile
1 you do not need an engineer.
2 once you have maintained 3 days stable connection you need to contact the forum mods who can resetyour ip profile for you
3 yourlineis very good
4 stay away from the help line there getting you to reset your router hasrestarted the profile setting time and delayed you ha ing it reset by the mods for a further 3 days

Your best bet might be to contact the forum moderators here: Contact BT Forum Mods. Much more reliable than the phone hekpdesk.

 

[Oops, not quick enough to reply before John. By the way, I had to ask them for a reset myself the other day and got it the same evening.]
