Hi,
I have the IPC6023 problem coming up when trying to use channels (eg BT sport). There’s no issue with my FTTC speed and the YouView box is hardwired via Ethernet connection. Help!!
Same issue but not with all channels. Reported 2 months ago. Problem with the exchange!!! No date for fix. Probably going to cancel as it shouldn’t take 2 months plus to fix
@onewaymotorway & @Kimbrich6 I'm sorry you're both getting an IPC6023 error message, I've sent you both a private message so you can get in touch with the moderation team and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks
Neil
Not entirely sure I'm in the right place - but I'd appreciate any pointers in the right direction. Sorry in advance for the long post:
I got BT Fibre 2 installed on 2 days ago with the Smart Hub 2. I have 2 TV boxes - the Pro and the Mini. Both are using the new 'internet' mode to pull down programming over wi-fi (no aerial) and I have one of the BT wi-fi discs to help boost my wifi.
When I view something 'on-demand' (iPlayer, ITV Hub etc.) it works relatively well with little to no buffering and almost no pixelation. But when I view 'live' TV it's a lottery - I can go through spells with perfect playback, and I can go through spells when there's lots of pixelation and freezing and I'll barely get 1 minute of uninterrupted viewing. Frequently I'll get the IPC6023 error during playback.
Although the wifi speeds are generally good (50MB/s) I noticed today - when I moved the wi-fi disc right next to the box to see if it helps - that there appears to be wifi issues, as the disc light goes red (probably 20 times today) and my laptop loses it's connection.
I'm aware of the warnings that the broadband takes some time after installation to 'settle down', but I'm concerned as live TV can be pretty much unwatchable - and that's the primary reason I have BT (to watch TV over the internet as my house has no aerial sockets!).
Any suggestions? I already spent 1/2 day on Friday on the phone and chat sessions to even get the 'internet' mode setup on the TV boxes, so I'm a bit frustrated.
