IPv6 Support

Does BT Internet support IPv6 yet? I'd like to experiment with IPv6, but my router, despite being IPv6 compliant, is only ever allocated an IPv4 address.

Is there anything that I need to do, to enable IPv6 on my account?

I think you'll find that it will only become available when it's necessary. ATM it isn't despite the scare stories about IP4 running out.

IPv4 public addresses have run out. BT are using ISP NAT to resolve the problem. IPv6 is the solution though

you could use a service like an IPv6 tunnel broker to play with Ipv6, there are a couple around on the internet.
However, given that they're free they might not be the most responsive if you're looking to do certain types of traffic flows over them.

I am currently running IPv6 tunneled over IPv4 hopefully when I have transferred to BT I will be able to provide some help on how to do it with BT.  Unless BT pull their finger out in the mean time and provide the end user with IPv6 (a 64 bit block would be nice).
